Redraft for Mac

Privacy

Redraft collects no data. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising or server backend, and nothing you write is sent to the developer.

Your text

Redraft reads text only when you press its shortcut. It copies the text you selected and sends it, with your instruction, to the AI model you chose in Settings → Models. With a local model in LM Studio, the text stays on your Mac or a computer you set up. With a cloud provider (OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek or fal), the text goes directly from your Mac to that provider using your own API key, and that provider’s privacy policy applies. Redraft asks for your permission the first time it sends text to each provider.

Web search

Only when your instruction says “use web search,” OpenRouter also searches the web for it. The source links are saved in History.

Stored on your Mac

API keys are kept in your Mac’s Keychain. Results, the model used and any web sources are saved in Redraft’s History inside the app’s own storage on your Mac. Clearing History hides entries and keeps a recovery copy on your Mac. Deleting the app removes them.

Permission

Redraft asks for one macOS permission, listed under Privacy & Security → Accessibility, so it can press ⌘C and ⌘V for you when you call it.

What Redraft does not collect

Redraft does not collect names, email addresses, usage analytics, crash reports, device identifiers or advertising identifiers, and never sells or shares data.
